On Wednesday 18th October we were pleased to see over a hundred parents and carers in attendance at our first Top Tips event of the year.
The purpose is to give 3 x 10 minute presentations to parents and carers about key aspects of our school life.
This time the focus was:
- The Art Provision at Lordswood – Why is this important? What does this look like in class? What else is on offer at Lordswood? For example: GAF, competitions.
- How Marking and Feedback has changed – What does this now look like? What are the benefits of this? How do the children feel this is benefiting them?
- The History Provision at Lordswood – A chance to meet and hear from the History Ambassadors, the kinds of topics studied in History in class, new initiatives for example The Black History Museum, trips bringing History to life.
Parents were invited (as always) to enjoy a cuppa and a biscuit and we asked them to complete a quick survey on the event. This is vital as this feedback directly informs what we will offer next time.
