Lordswood joined the Griffin Schools Trust (GST) and is part of a family of 12 schools spread across the country with a commitment to providing high quality education. It is a two-form entry primary school with a nursery that supports the community, offering both 15 and 30 hour funded provision. Receptionist Fixed Term Opportunity
Job description
Receptionist – Fixed term37 hours per week 8am – 4pm Monday – Thursday 8.00am – 3.30pm Friday, Term Time Only (38 weeks) 30 min lunch
NJC Scale 4-10 (£13.05 - £14.35 per hour depending on experience)
General Admin Duties
- Act as first point of contact in the school
- Dealing with visitors
- Copying visitors DBS, where applicable.
- Answering telephone in line with GST protocol
- Processing office email account
- General school letters
- Printing pupil labels for exercise books
- Sending texts / emails
- Provide hospitality for visitors when required
- Administering and recording medicine
- Preparing visitor and staff ID badges
- Carry out duties which the Head Teacher/Line Manager may reasonably ask you to undertake
General daily tasks
- Review and add events to electronic calendar/diary
- Photocopying including all SAT papers ensuring papers are copied in the correct colours - liaising with teachers
- Support with school photos
- Check and maintain first aid supplies
- Supervise nurse visits
- Contact volunteers re school trips as directed by teaching staff
- Online Tesco ordering for refreshment/class resources
- Check supply levels in stationery cupboard and raise order with Operations Manager
- Open, date and distribute post & any deliveries
- Coordinate and email respect certificates to parents/carers
- Coordinate meeting room diary book
- Coordinate staff training certificate onto MIS

Teaching Assistant for September 2026
Teaching Assistant
A rare opportunity has arisen to join Lordswood School.
We are looking for:
- A teaching assistant with recent experience of working within a primary school setting
- Relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
- Have GCSE English and Maths at grade A – C or equivalent
- A high level of written and spoken English
- Experience of SEN interventions
- High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
- Commitment to supporting staff and pupils in raising standards
- Excellent organisational skills
- Keen to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work on own initiative
- An effective communicator.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to participating in the wider aspects of school life such as special events
Grade: SCP Point 4 – 10 (£13.05 - £14.35 per hour) £25,185 - £27,694 FTE (£17,147.70 - £18,855.90 actual salary)
Hours: 30 hours a week, term time only – initially fixed term for one year
