Year 6 visit Lordswood Library

By 26 January 2024No Comments

This afternoon, Year 6 visited the new and improved Lordswood Library.
After their sunny stroll through Lordswood, Year 6 entered the library in awe and sat in the cosy children’s section to listen to their Power of Reading text: The Hunger Games. They were all gripped on the story and didn’t want Mrs Boughton to stop.
However, afterwards, they relished the opportunity to explore a large variety of books and the different little cubby holes and seats to sit in and read.
Unfortunately, Miss Prior was unable to go with them but she was never far from their thoughts as they hunted for the thickest books they could find or ones they thought she’d like.
Many children lent books and some even got a form to get their own library cards.
A huge thank you to all the adults that accompanied them and Lordswood Library for allowing them to visit; they can’t wait till next time!
