Today year 5 enjoyed a long and pretty walk through the fields to get to Capstone Park. On arriving we enjoyed looking around the ruins of Upper Shawstead farm. We then walked to one of the large fields and enjoyed a snack followed by a fantastic game of Capture the Flag. Next we walked through the woods to the main area and then settled for our lunch. As soon as we got our sandwiches out the rain started and this soon developed into a violent thunder storm! We certainly wonāt forget that picnic. However, soon after the sun came out and we enjoyed an ice-cream, a play in the park and some of us even fed the ducks. We had a fantastic day and Iām sure we will all sleep well tonight after lots of fantastic fresh air and exercise.
