To celebrate Remembrance Day, the Art Ministry prepared a special assembly.

The Art Ministry decided that all classes were to create a poppy wreath with poppies that had been collaged using a variety of materials. The children then wrote a message on a slip of paper to add to their poppies.

They also ran a competition where children could design a front cover for a book. Ā The theme for the book cover was connected to the war. The winners of this competition were Anya, Year 3, and Maddy, Year 6. Ā Both children were given a token to purchase a book from the new book vending machine.

The Art Ministry led the assembly that included readings, poems and a silent walk outside to the mound to lay their class wreaths and take part in a two-minute silence while Mr Lenton played the last post.
