Over the past two days, Lordswood took three teams to the Medway Sport Mini Youth Games Table Tennis competitions, held at Medway Park in Gillingham.
Yesterday was the Champion series teamās turn – who found themselves in a very tough group. A winning start was followed by a very close defeat and then a draw leaving qualification very tough to achieve. The team battled superbly but unfortunately lost the last two group games to finish 5th in the group and fall into the consolation bracket. At this stage, the team won two and drew one, meaning a 9th placed finish.
Today, it was the turn of the Cup and Plate teams – consisting of a mix of Year 5 and 6 children. Both teams made huge amounts of progress throughout the day and it was clear to see how much better each child performed towards the end of their 8 games. Finishing positions are yet to be released but every child should be proud of their performance.
