Harvest

Over the last two weeks, the Environment Ministry has been very busy organising a spectacular Harvest Extravaganza! Along with organising a fantastic assembly and various competitions, they made the decision to choose a list of wanted items to be collected from each class. The response was amazing and, yet again, the children of Lordswood have blown them away with their generosity. Every year, the display of donated food and toiletries gets bigger and bigger – this year was no different. The Salvation Army are incredibly grateful for everyone’s efforts and cannot wait to use the donations to help families and individuals in need in Chatham.
The amazing students of Lordswood must also be commended on the outstanding response to the Harvest art competition; it was so incredibly difficult for the Environment Ministry to choose the winners! Everyone who entered put so much thought and effort into their artwork and the display looked phenomenal!
The assembly, delivered by the children, was filled with readings, songs and a wonderful thought and prayer by Major Ian from the Chatham branch of the Salvation Army.
The Environment Ministry would like to thank the Lordswood families for all of the support they’ve given to make this Harvest Festival such a success.
