Burns Night

By 25 January 2024No Comments
Today EYFS learnt about Robert Burns. They learnt what made him famous and how people in Scotland and all over the world celebrate his birth: 25th January.
They listened to Amazing Grace played on the bagpipes and spoke about how the music made them feel. They explored the scenery of Scotland, the different tartans (they even saw Mrs Marks’ clans tartan) and they spoke to Mrs Marks’ father, who was born in Scotland, and he answered some of the children’s questions.
To finish off the day they tasted some Haggis and, surprisingly, most of them really liked it.
Happy Burns Day everyone.
