Year 5 Woodland Walk

By 4 November 2024No Comments

Today, Year Five embarked on an exciting field trip to Walderslade Woods, where the great outdoors became a classroom for exploration and creativity.
After a brisk walk through the woods, the children quickly immersed themselves in a variety of activities. The group split into classes to build shelters using fallen branches and leaves, showcasing their teamwork and resourcefulness. As they roamed through the trees, the children practised their observational skills by identifying different species of trees and leaves. Perhaps the most imaginative part of the day was when the children came across a mysterious clearing in the trees and gathered around to speculate what may have caused it.
Year 5 look forward to taking their outdoor learning into their English lessons this week.
