Year 4 Trip to Sevenoaks

Today, Year 4 enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, where the children became real-life nature investigators for the day.
Throughout the visit, the children explored a variety of habitats and discovered the many organisms living within them. The children carefully investigated both the river and the surrounding pond habitats, searching for wildlife and learning how different creatures adapt to their environments. From pond-dwelling insects to organisms found in the flowing river, the pupils were fascinated by the biodiversity of life they uncovered.
As part of their fieldwork, the children also took part in scientific investigations. They measured the width and depth of the river, using excellent listening and observation skills to collect accurate data. The children impressed everyone with their enthusiasm, curiosity, and confidence when discussing their findings.
The staff at the reserve were particularly complimentary about the children’s behaviour, knowledge, and eagerness to learn. They commented on how engaged the pupils were throughout the day and praised them for asking thoughtful scientific questions.
Year 4 were a true credit to the school. Their outstanding behaviour, teamwork, and enthusiasm for learning made the trip a fantastic success and a memorable experience for all involved.
