As part of our Design and Technology curriculum, Year 2 had an exciting outdoor workshop where we learned how to make pizzas from scratch – and cook them on an open fire!
The children started by learning how to build and light a fire safely, understanding the importance of fire safety and working under careful supervision. They then got hands-on making fresh pizza dough and a simple tomato sauce. Everyone had the chance to chop vegetables, choose their own toppings, and assemble their own pizzas.
The best part….. Cooking the pizzas over the open fire and enjoying the delicious results together! The children showed fantastic teamwork, creativity, and enthusiasm throughout – and the pizzas were a big hit!
