Today, our Year 2 and Year 3 children took part in an engaging and informative road safety workshop led by a visiting road safety officer.
During the session, children learned all about the importance of staying safe near roads. They explored different types of crossings and discussed when and how to use them correctly. A key focus of the workshop was the simple but vital rule: Stop, Look, Listen before crossing the road.
The officer encouraged pupils to think carefully about their surroundings and to always make safe choices when near traffic. Through discussions and interactive activities, the children demonstrated great enthusiasm and a strong understanding of how to keep themselves safe.
We would like to remind families that road safety is a skill that improves with practice. It is especially important to continue reinforcing these messages at home. By modelling safe crossing behaviours and practising together, you can help children build confidence and develop lifelong safe habits.
Well done to all of our pupils for their excellent participation!
