Year 1 Pirate Day

By 10 February 2025February 14th, 2025No Comments

Ahoy, Lordswood families! Today, our little year 1 pirates set sail on a grand adventure during our Pirate Day celebration. Dressed in their best swashbuckling outfits, the children dove into a treasure chest of different activities.

They crafted their own pirate flags ready to scare off anyone who came near! We used a tea-staining technique to create authentic-looking treasure maps that looked straight out of a pirate’s secret stash. Our young buccaneers also created some imaginative pirate list poems, using their senses to help them.

To cap off the day’s adventures, we enjoyed a delightful array of snacks, culminating in a grand pirate feast.

A hearty thank you to everyone for your support in making this day unforgettable. We hope your little pirates came home with tales of their high-seas adventures and cherished memories from our Pirate Day celebration.

The best joke of the day: Why are pirates called pirates? Because they arrrrr! — Tommy
