World Mars Day 2023
On Tuesday 7th March all pupils celebrated World Mars Day 2023. We began the day by joining a worldwide interactive webinar called ‘To the Moon and Mars.’ It was really informative and a vast amount of knowledge about past (and future) missions to the moon was gained by all.
After the webinar, each class then carried out different rocket launching investigations, including making and testing air powered rockets and pop rockets. Lordswood pupils certainly showed and used their scientific skills whilst investigating.
We were also very fortunate to welcome some local secondary pupils into our school and Science ambassadors from Kent University who supported our Year 5 pupils with their investigations.
What amazing fun we had from Nursery to Year 6!
