We were thrilled to welcome families and friends to our annual Sports Day this week, and what a fantastic day of fun, teamwork and energy it turned out to be!

The day began with our youngest athletes in Nursery and Reception. With big smiles and even bigger enthusiasm, they impressed us all with their determination and joy as they took part in a range of activities, from running races to beanbag balancing and obstacle courses. It was a delight to see such budding sporting talent on show!

Next up were our energetic Year 1 and Year 2 pupils, who gave it their all. Their cheering and encouragement for one another showed just how well they embody our school spirit. It was a proud moment for staff and parents alike to witness their confidence and sportsmanship shine.

In the afternoon, it was the turn of Key Stage 2. The competition heated up as pupils ran, jumped and threw with great determination. The atmosphere was electric, with countries competing in good spirits and children pushing themselves to do their best. During the KS2 events, one pupil unfortunately suffered an injury and was taken to hospital by ambulance. We are very relieved and pleased to share that they are recovering well, and we send them our very best wishes. We are also proud of how calmly and supportively our pupils and staff responded to the situation. We’re delighted that everyone else was able to continue enjoying their sporting activities and finish the day on a high.

Thank you to all staff, volunteers and families for making Sports Day such a success. It was a true celebration of effort, perseverance and school community spirit!
