Today we had a wonderful day where the focus was quite definitely on becoming better spellers. We held our annual Spelling Bee – now a proud Lordswood tradition.
The hall was awash with buzzing children and adults alike, dressed entirely in yellow and black – the outfits were quite spectacular: some even had wings!
The Grand Final was at 2pm. We all gathered expectantly in the hall. Our Spelling Bee song was playing and we all joined in singing in exuberant fashion. Our very own Learning Ministry led this event, calling up the representatives from each House, in each year group. How brave the children were!
Well done everyone – we had so much fun whilst reminding ourselves of the importance of becoming better spellers!
Well done to the Grand Final winners: Havengore!
