A huge congratulations to our Year 6 pupils who proudly represented Lordswood School at the Griffin Sports Festival held at Medway Park. Twelve of our dedicated athletes competed with fantastic spirit and skill against four other Griffin Schools from the South.
The atmosphere at Medway Park was incredibly positive and exciting as our team tackled a range of challenging events. Our Year 6 students showcased their athleticism in traditional track and field disciplines, including running, jumping, and throwing.
They also demonstrated great teamwork and sportsmanship in team games, competing in both football and handball tournaments against their peers from the other schools in the trust.
The hard work and training certainly paid off! We are thrilled to celebrate the many individual successes of the day: Tallulah, Whitney, Abigail , Carter, Penelope and Scarlett F all achieved well-deserved medals for their outstanding performances.
In a fantastic collective achievement, the Lordswood team secured an incredible 2nd place overall in the competition! Every child contributed their best effort to this brilliant result.
A massive thank you goes to Miss Hanson for accompanying the team and providing support and encouragement throughout the day. We also extend our sincere gratitude to Mr Baker-May for his hard work in organising and running the entire event, making it a memorable and successful day for all the schools involved.
Well done to all the Year 6 athletes—you made Lordswood incredibly proud!
