At our school, character matters just as much as academic success—and we believe that doing the right thing should be celebrated. That’s why we host the Gold Book BBQ, a joyful event that brings together students who consistently show what it means to be a Great Griffin.
Each week, staff members nominate students for the Gold Book—a special recognition for those who demonstrate kindness, integrity, leadership, perseverance and respect. Whether it’s helping a classmate, showing resilience during a challenge, or going above and beyond without being asked, these students embody the values we hold dear.
To honour their contributions, we invite all three time Gold Book recipients to a BBQ celebration—a time to relax, have fun, and feel proud of their impact. With delicious food, laughter, and community spirit, the event is a reminder that character shines brightest when no one is watching… but when it is noticed, it deserves to be celebrated.
As we gather around the grill, we’re reminded of what it means to be part of the Griffin family: we lift each other up, strive to do the right thing, and celebrate success—not just in the classroom, but in the heart.
Because being a Great Griffin isn’t just about what you achieve—it’s about who you choose to be every day.
