Culture Day
Dear Lordswood Families,
We are delighted to announce that this year’s Culture Day celebration will take place on Friday 31st October.
We warmly invite all children to come to school wearing something that represents their unique culture or heritage. This could be traditional dress, the colours of a national flag, a sports jersey, or any item that holds cultural significance for your family. We are excited for a vibrant and educational day celebrating the diversity within the Lordswood community.
To make our special Culture Day assembly truly unforgettable, we are reaching out to our talented community for help. We are specifically looking for individuals who could perform or demonstrate a traditional art form for our children. Do you know of anyone—or are you yourself—a performer who could share skills such as bagpiping or Irish dancing?
Furthermore, if any member of our school community (parents, guardians, staff or children) would like to share a song, poem or story from their culture, we would be thrilled to include you in the assembly programme. Sharing these personal talents helps create the deepest connections for our pupils.
If you are interested in performing or contributing in any way, please get in touch via the office (office@lordswood-gst.org) by Wednesday 29th October.
We look forward to a spectacular and memorable day of celebration!
Yours Sincerely,
Roxan Jones
History Lead
