Dear Lordswood Families
The staff have worked extremely hard to ensure that the remote learning experience mirrors as far as possible the learning taking place in school.
Please find attached the weekly overview where 2 zoom sessions have been scheduled each day for every class, ensuring daily contact with teachers. There may be clashes for siblings scheduled at the same time and limited devices in the home. If this is the case please alternate daily so they join at least one session each day. Every child is expected to attend the sessions and calls home will be made for non-attenders to offer support.
The expectation is that children complete the daily work, as if they were in school and follow the timetable attached for each year group. All links to the google drives are included. Work will need to be their best work, collated and brought into their class teachers when they return. It is important that the day is structured and the timetable followed.
It is vital that all parents encourage and oversee the education of the children at home to the best of their ability, although I am aware some parents may also be trying to work from home.
For concerns or questions around the work please email year group staff.
A limited number of devices are being allocated to key children. Parents will be notified with regards to collecting and signing responsibility for the device.
Those who completed the survey and requested a keyworker space must bring ID Tuesday morning. Please notify the office if they are unable to attend. Children attending school must wear school uniform.

It is an extremely difficult time where the community is very vulnerable. We want to ensure the education of the children continues both in school and at home.
